Schley - Edward Booker Brown, 92, a merchant at Schley for more than 70 years, died Friday at his home here.
He was a member of Singleton United Methodist Church and for 50 years served as secretary of the church's Sunday School.
He was a member of Botetourt Lodge No. &, AF & AM for more than 50 years, a member of Gloucester Camp No. 216, Woodmen of the World, and a former chairman of the Gloucester County School Board.
Survivors include three sons, Edward J. Brown, Claude C. Brown and C. Herbert Brown, a daughter, Mrs. Henley Roane and a brother, J. C. Brown, all of Schley, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Singleton United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Robert Taylor. He will be assisted by the Rev. Martin Diggs.
Graveside Masonic rites by Botetourt Lodge No. 7 will be in the church cemetery.
The body will rest at Bridge Funeral Home, Gloucester, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight.
