Funeral services for Jimmy Franklin Boatright "Daddy Jim" (68) of Jacksonville, Florida, will be held 11 a.m., Monday, March 1, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Baldwin with Rev. Chris Drum officiating. The interment will immediately follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Boatright was born January 17, 1942 in Jacksonville, Florida, son of the late Harvey Drawdy Boatright and the former Macy Steedley. He passed away February 25, 2010 in Jacksonville, Florida, following a brief illness. Mr. Boatright was a retired truck driver and a member of the First Baptist Church of Baldwin. In addition to his wife of 46 years, Kay Boatright, survivors include: three daughters, Jane (Ray) Moore, Pam (Smitty) Smith and Carrie (Ronnie) Cain; five grandsons, Jim, Josh, Jerrod, Spencer and Zakary; four granddaughters, Jessica, Kristin, Julia and Karissa; four brothers, Gerald (Ethel), Benny (Daisy), Harold (Dee) and Steve (Cathy) Boatright; sister, Norma (Ron) Oliver; numerous extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, February 28, 2010 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home.
