Report of death and funeral (were Freeman's Journal (Sydney, NSW : 1850 - 1932) Thu 26 Sep 1929 Page 31):

The death has occurred of Mr. James Athol O'Brien. Deceased, who was a son of Mr. and Mrs. James O'Brien, of Clear View, Bingara, was a young man, and leaves a wife and two children. Deceased's wife was formerly Miss D. Smith, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Smith, of Sunnyside, Bingara. A service was conducted at the Catholic Church, and the remains were interred in the Catholic portion of the Bingara cemetery. Rev. Father Walsh conducted the prayers at the graveside. The funeral was very largely attended.
