Velma Holliday, 66, of Brookshire, passed away Thursday, March 23, 1972, in a Brookshire nursing home. Mrs.Holliday was a former resident of Houston County. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Graveside funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Evergreen Cemetery in Lovelady, with Mr. Harry Conner officiating. Survivors include two sons, E. L Gregg of Wichita, Kansas, and B. E. Gregg of Houston; a brother, H. N. Crowson of Houston; three sisters, Mrs M. F. Sanders of Hempstead, Mrs. A. A. Wildman of Houston and Mrs.Alvin Atchley of Porter; and three grandchildren. Waller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
