SOUTH PITTSBURG, TN -- Jimmy P. Haley Sr., 63, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2010, in a Chattanooga, TN hospital.

Mr. Haley was born on February 21, 1947 to the late John P. and Sarah Baldwin Haley. He was of the Baptist faith and was formerly employed by Galaxy Carpet Mill for 21 years. He loved coffee, the Pirates, Tennessee Football and was an avid fan of the South Pittsburg Pirates.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death brothers, Charles Smith, John Smith, Lonnie Kilgore, Charles Robbins, Bobby Hale.

Survivors include his children, Jimmy P. (Diana) Haley Jr. and Lyne (Tim) Haley Garman, both of South Pittsburg, TN; sister, Mary (Vinson) Crawford, of Bridgeport, AL; brothers Buddy Smith, of Sequatchie, TN and Clyde (Betty) Smith, of Fort Wayne, IN; sisters-in-law, Trudy Kilgore and June Robbins, of South Pittsburg, TN Joyce Haley, of Bridgeport, AL and Opal Haley, of Hollywood, AL; grandchildren, Phylicia Haley, Emily Garman, Garett Garman and Aaron Garman.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. CST Sunday, February 28, 2010, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ronnie Case, Terry Case and John Offenberker officiating.

Interment will follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends for visitation today from 3-9 p.m. CST and on Saturday from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. CST at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by Tate Funeral Home, Jasper, TN.
