LIBERAL, Mo. - James W. "Jim" Noyes, 70, of Liberal, Mo., died at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004 at his home.

He was born on Oct. 1, 1934 in Liberal, to James Ray and Eula Maude (Millard) Noyes.

He was a lifetime resident of Liberal.

He graduated from Liberal High School in 1952 where he was Salutatorian of his class.

He served in the National Guard for 12 years.

He was a self-employed farmer.

He was a member of the American Rifle Association.

He married Luella "Lucy" Bunton on Jan. 23, 1955 at the Methodist Church of Liberal. She survives.

Additional survivors include thee sons, David Noyes of Pittsburg, Jerry Noyes of Liberal, and Chris Noyes of Cleveland, Mo.; one daughter, Linda Doty of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, John Noyes of Liberal and Tom Noyes of Lathrop, Mo.; one sister, Sue Martin of Gladstone, Mo.; and seven grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Liberal City Cemetery with open visitation.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Konantz-Warden Funeral Home of Lamar, Mo.

Luella "Lucy" Noyes , 73, of Liberal, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri after a sudden illness.

Lucy was born in Hannon, Missouri on January 14, 1937 to James and Dorothy (Weaver) Bunton.

She was a graduate of Liberal High School and also a graduate of Draughons Business College in Springfield, MO.

Lucy worked at many things in her life. She worked at the Liberal Schools as an aide, a cook and anything else that was asked of her. She retired from the school after 35 years.

She married James "Jim" Noyes on January 23, 1955 at the Liberal United Methodist Church.

We will always remember and cherish how much our devoted Mother and Grandmother loved having her family around during the holidays and how passionate she was with her grandchildren. She enjoyed reminiscing while looking and sorting through pictures, shopping and gardening and being around her family. Her generosity with friends and family was something that touched those who knew her. One of her regular devotions was shopping and that she did with her sister and friends.

Survivors include three sons David and Teresa Noyes of Pittsubrg, KS, Jerry and Jane Noyes of Liberal, MO, and Chris and Tammy Noyes of Cleveland, MO; one daughter Linda Doty and husband, Tim of Kansas City, MO; one sister Margaret Smith of Liberal, MO; in-laws including Tom and Lynn Noyes, John and Carolyn Noyes and Sue Martin; seven grandchildren Colin, Rachel, Dana and husband Gene Burnett, Christopher, Kyle and fiance Brianna Abma, Jenni and Bryan Breeze, Ali and one on the way.

Lucy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim, on November 3, 2004, and one sister, Ellen Marie Lipscomb.

Lucy was a member of the Lamar(sic) United Methodist Church.

Services will be 10 a.m., Friday, February 26, 2010 at the Liberal United Methodist Church, Liberal, MO.

LIBERAL, Mo. - James W. "Jim" Noyes, 70, of Liberal, Mo., died at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004 at his home.

He was born on Oct. 1, 1934 in Liberal, to James Ray and Eula Maude (Millard) Noyes.

He was a lifetime resident of Liberal.
