Maudine Mullis Grimsley, 91, of Fitzgerald, died Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Autumn Terrace in Perry.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. John Gibbs, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Friday evening at t he funeral home in Fitzgerald.

Mrs. Grimsley was born February 16, 1918 in Ben Hill County to the late Ellis Mullis and the late Fannie Peacock Mullis Kennedy. She lived in Fitzgerald most of her life. Mrs. Grimsley was a homemaker and former employee of Fitzgerald Mills. She was a member of Callie Garbutt Baptist Church and participated in activities at the Ben Hill Senior Citizen Center.

She is survived by her sons, Delmar Freeman (Jonnie) Grimsley, Jr. of Warner Robins and Dennis (Linda) Grimsley of Forsyth; daughter, Alice Dean (Clarence) Joiner of Sparks; 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, as well as, several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Freeman Grimsley, 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
