Most of Bud's married years were spent on their ranch south of Morristown where he enjoyed working with horses, farming, ranching, riding horseback, and roping. He held fond memories of Sunday afternoon family horseback outings.
Following the death of his wife Elaine on July 22, 2007, Bud moved to Morristown and then when his health failed, he relocated to Pierre, SD.
