Mary O, widow of David R. Alexander, died in Macon county hospital Saturday morning at 10:30 after an illness of ten days of pneumonia,aged 68 years. The body was removed to the undertaking rooms of Monson & Wilcox. Funeral services will be conducted in the home of her son,Scott Alexander, 737 W. Wood street, Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock.
Mrs. lexander was born in Tuscola but since she was a girl had been a resident of Decatur and during practically all of that period had been a member of First Presbyterian church and when her health permitted was ever active in all church affairs, where her long association, her gentle manner and kind heart had won her many friends.
Her husband, David R. Alexander, long in business life in Decatur died six years ago.
The surviving member of the family are her daughter, Mrs. E. A. West and son Scott Alexander of Decatur, her sons, Arthur B. and Troy Alexander of New York city and Mrs. Blanche A. Trevarther of Montgomery, Ala, who with her husband has been in Decatur several days.
