"Macyville" "Another of Macyville's pioneer women, Mrs. Mary Jane Beesley. familiarly known as "Aunt Mary" has been called from this life to enjoy the things of the Great Beyond that her pure and obedient life here had fitted her for. When a very young girl she became affililated with church work. and all through the years has lived a quiet, faithful Christian life, ever seeking to follow her Saviour. On every opportunity she gave the expression of her adiding faith in a home prepared for her andalways, gave a living testimony of her readiness to depart when ever it should be the will of her Heavenly Father to call her Home. She was a builder of a happy home and she was always desirous that her friends, and especially her children, should know and do the better things of this life. She left for them and heritage of noble teachings, self sacrifice and righteous admonition for themto treasure up and follow. She was very active in Red Cross work and was always ready to discomode herself if need be to help others in need, and never turned away from pain and suffering without doing what she could to relieve it. Funeral services were held for the deceased Tuesday afternoon, Nov.28." (Glasco Sun Newspaper - Glasco, Cloud County, Kansas - November 30, 1922)
