MRS. ESTHER E. CORNELL DIES IN ITHACA HOME FOLLOWING LONG ILLNESS
Ithaca, March 13 - Mrs. Esther E. Cornell, widow of the late Alonzo B. Cornell, Governor of New York from 1880-1882 and eldest son of Ezra Cornell, founder of Cornell University, died at her home No. 419 Wcykoff avenue on Cayuga heights yesterday. Mrs. Cornell had been an invalid at her home for several years.
Private funeral services will be held from the residence at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with Rev. Henry P. Horton, rector of St. John's Episcopal church of this city, officiating.
The body will be placed in the family vault in the City Cemetery. Mrs. Cornell was married in 1894 to former Governor Cornell, and had lived in this city since that time.
