She was born on March 26, 1934 in Findlay, Ohio to the late James E. and Lenore T. (Adams) Kelley.
Sara was preceded in death by seven brothers, Stephen J. Kelley, Paul Kelley, Robert Kelley, Joseph F. Kelley, Richard J. Kelley, James P. Kelley, an infant brother and a sister, Ruthann Gagnon.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Margie Kelley, Fostoria, OH who was married to her brother, Stephen.
Sara retired from Philips Display in Ottawa where she had been employed for many years. Sara was a very devoted member of St. Michael the Archangel Parish, where she served on the Parish Council. She was also a member of the Amvets Auxiliary, where she served as chaplain and loved to play bingo. She also enjoyed bowling. The Findlay AMVETS Post was named after her brother, Robert Kelley, who was supposedly the first Hancock County service person to lose his life at Pearl Harbor during WWII.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church-Downtown, where the Rosary will be prayed one-half hour before the service by the Altar Rosary Society. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home where the Rosary will be recited at 7:45 p.m.
