CLARENCE WILSON CARR
Oct. 23, 1930 - Feb. 21, 2010

SALEM - Clarence Wilson Carr, October 23, 1930 - February 21, 2010. Loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Clarence and Sharon Carr have resided in Salem, Oregon for over 14 years.

Clarence proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 21 years. He served in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts and acheived the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer. During his career Clarence received many conduct and service medals.

Clarence took pride in his rating as a structural hydraulics mechanic. His highly demanding skills also took him to a career at Lockheed/Martin after retiring from the Navy where he worked extensively on many commercial and military aircraft including the stealth program.

After 18 years Clarence retired to a 10 acre spread in Southern Utah where he fulfilled a life long dream of working a small farm in a picturesque landscape.

Above everything else, family was of utmost importance to him. Clarence and Sharon moved to Salem, Oregon to be close to his now survived sons, Matthew, Martin and Lester.

Clarence was always known for his strength, character, honesty and devotion to his family.

Clarence was a member of the VFW and Navy Fleet Reserve.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Sharon; his brother, Arthur; his sister, Viola; his three sons; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

A private Memorial service will be held for family at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon. Arrangements by Howell-Edwards-Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors.
