Silas N. Agee
TOWN CREEK -- Silas Nathaniel Agee, 69, died Thursday, Sept. 14, 1989, at Humana Hospital Shoals.
He was a native of Lawrence County. A former potroom attendant at Reynolds Metals, he retired in 1981. He was a member of Donald Baptist Church. He was the son of the late William Agee and Tennie Varnell Agee of Lawrence County.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Donald Baptist Church, Town Creek, with Gene Franks and Bob Clemons officiating. Burial will be in Blackground Cemetery, Lawrence County, with Spry Funeral Home of Sheffield directing.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sadie Agee, Town Creek; sons, Nathaniel Agee, Darnell Agee, Charles Agee, all of Town Creek, Wade Agee, Tuscumbia; daughters, Mable Jean Martin, Marvileen Nichols, Marcleen Childress, all of Town Creek, Carolyn Delois Cornelison, Southgate, Mich., Peggy Agee, Nitrate City; brothers, Roy Agee, Raymond Agee, both of Nitrate City, Rex Agee, Town Creek; sisters, Mary B. Terry, Nitrate, City, Ardella Chaney, Taylor, Mich.; 18 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Bearers will be Edwin Terrell, Randy Agee, John Wayne Kirby, Carl Terry, Roger Agee, Farrell Hutto.
Honorary bearers will be Carl King and Ronnie Terrell.
