Lena M. Williams, 84, of Springfield, died Wednesday, May 21, 2008.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2008, at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home Chapel in North with the Rev. Bert Bayhnan, the Rev. Jerry Vail and the Rev. George Cashwell officiating. Burial will be in Springfield Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wallace Williams, Frank McCollum, Leslie Murray, John Wayne McCollum, Jessie Williamson, Curtis Murray and Freddie Hutson. Mrs. Williams was born in Barnwell County, a daughter of the late George and Annis Williams McCollum. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was formerly employed by Sawyerdale Manufacturing Company. She was married to the late Charlie Williams Sr.
Survivors include three daughters' Corine Hutson of Springfield, Martha (Oneal) Keisler of Blackville, and Magaline "Maggie" (Darwin) Dyches of Barnwell; two sons, Bobby (Eleanor) Williams of Williston, and Charlie (Wanda) Williams Jr. of North; a sister, Mae Baltzegar of Orangeburg; three brothers, David McCollum of Orangeburg, Frank McCollum of Bamberg, and John McCollum of Neeses; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Delk; and two grandsons, Ronnie Hutson and Kelvin Keisler. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home and other times at the home of Corine Hutson, 821 Railroad Ave., Springfield.
