Ada Gorman was born to Deborah Gorman (1868) prior to her marriage to Ellis Crampton in 1874. There is no father named on her birth certificate. Although once Deborah and Ellis married he would have been her father figure and she took on the surname of Crampton, she is not named as a sibling on the birth certificate of their first child of the marriage Amelia in 1876 nor the second child, Sidney in 1880. Ellis was the informant for both. Ellis' death certificate also only names the 2 children of the marriage whereas Deborah's names the four children that she had.
