On 2 April 1871 Devon born Minnie M Summers (6) along with sisters Annie H Summers (11), Florence E Summers (10) and Ada C F Summers (7), who were born in London, were pupils in Moor Lane, Hatherleigh, Okehampton, Devon, England.

Minnie Summers (13) arrived in Rockhampton, Queensland from England on board gthe vessel Kapunda on 23 June 1878.

Married William Johnston on on 17 July 1895.
