♥ Forever in our Hearts - Remembering Linda Catherine Zuber, a graduate of the 1972 class who won the University High School of Los Angeles Award for the ONLY graduating senior that year who never missed a day of school in all 3 years. She graduated with straight As!

She was an amazingly creative stained-glass artist, jewelry maker and out-of-the-box thinker. She was caring, empathic and loved animals.

Sadly, Linda took her own life

She was an only child to only child parents. Jack a 1943 USC grad married Marilyn Patricia 'BUNNY' Miller on January 26, 1952 in Los Angeles.

~ Addendum ~

Linda's Mother, Marilyn Miller Zuber passed at age 92 on March 16, 2017. She was laid to rest at Forest Lawn in Glendale, with her daughter Linda, and a new shared headstone was put alongside Linda's original one.

Upon Marilyn's passing, here are just a few of the many tributes:

I have fond memories of working with Marilyn at the UIG offices in the 70s, and we have kept in touch ever since. She managed professors and students with both a stern look and a twinkle in her eye. I first gained favor with her by searching the city records to find the building permit for the Darkroom shop in L A, which had a facade in the shape of a camera. The permit showed that her father had been the architect. She was a dear soul I miss her.
Marilyn hired me on the basis of nothing but faith in my potential. Over years she mentored me and promoted me to others. She opened professional doors for me that would otherwise have always been closed. I will always be grateful and will always miss her.

I worked for one day in my early career with Marilyn at UIG in the 70's...she had to let me go because I couldn't keep up with the typing demands - but I was a designer and studying architecture, so she asked me to bring in some of my drawings which she also showed to Barton Phelps. That was a huge boost of encouragement. We remained friends for the rest of her life. I still have a stack of her cards and letters which I looked for religiously on those holidays and birthdays. She attended many of my life's milestone celebrations. I also attended a few of hers. I loved her so much. I regret to this day that I wasn't able to attend her funeral, although I was invited - I just couldn't make it.

Rest in Peace, dear Marilyn - I know you are missed by many.
