James E. Allen

James E. Allen, 75, a resident of the Berea Community, died Aug. 2, 2009 at his residence.

Visitation is Tuesday, Aug. 4, 5-8 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 5, at 1 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Berea Cemetery. Rev. Tony Black and Rev. Tim Duke will officiate.

He was a retired factory worker and a member of Berea Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Whittington Allen of the Berea Community; son, Rev. Tommy Allen and wife Pearl of Berea Community; brother, F.O. Allen Jr. of Berea Community; sisters, Mary Allen Cutts of Ackerman and Carolyn Holton of Pearl; seven grandchildren, Angel Allen Halderman, Sam Bell, Tracy Allen Jones, Tim Bell, Stacy Allen, Toni Allen Engle and Shane Allen; eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Sam Bell, Tim Bell, Jason Engle, Tim Halderman, Bill Allen, Kirk McDaniel, Ed Jones, Troy Neiswonger and Thad Halderman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Angel Halderman, Toni Engle, Tracy Jones, Stacy Allen, Laurel Leigh Bell and Meryl Allen.

Memorials may be sent to Infinity Hospice, 600 N. Van Buren Street, Carthage, MS 39051 or the Berea Baptist Church building fund.
