1.) IVA PEARL ORFIELD
Iva Pearl, daughter of Thomas H. and Dora M. Slaughter Butcher, was born in Terre Haute, Iowa, October 25*, 1886, and passed away in Lamoni, Iowa November 7, 1978, at the age of 92 years and 12 days. Most of her life was spent in Decatur County, Iowa with the exception of six months in Kahoka, Missouri.

For the past five years, she has been a resident of Westview Acres and Lamoni Manor care centers. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and was an early pioneer in helping establish the church at Terre Haute, Iowa. Her delight was to be found in the service of the Lord. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Davis City, Iowa, and attended and supported the church until her health failed.

In 1903 she was united in marriage to Ott Quick and to this union a son, Charles Creston, and a daughter, Marie, were born.

In 1908 she was united in marriage to Isaac Robbins and to this union a daughter, Veta Mae, and a son, John Paul were born.

In 1945 she was united in marriage to Charles P. Orfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; daughter, Marie; son, Creston; brothers: Orville Butcher, James Butcher, and Roy Butcher; son-in-law, Paul Tellier; and grandson, Eddie Quick.

She is survived by her daughter, Veta Mae Tellier, Davis City, Iowa; her son and his wife, John and Margaret Robbins, Lamoni, Iowa; a sister and her husband, Louisa and Laverne Cargill, Gordon, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Harriet Butcher, Leon, Iowa; and daughter-in-law, Marie Quick, Decatur, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

2.) Iva was married in 1903 to Otto C. Quick. It was said that in 1905, Otto got on a train in Davis City, Decatur Co., Iowa and wasn't heard from for 20 years. Otto and Iva were divorced.
