Christine "Chris" Janet Kennedy Kline, 66, died at her home on the morning of Wednesday, February 24, 2010, due to natural causes.

She was the wife of Donald Kline. She was born September 6, 1943, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of the late Charles Earl and Florence Mary (Zalewski) Kennedy.

She was a loving mother and wife who seemed to glow when happily in the presence of beloved family members and dear friends.

She was an independent, intelligent, and artistically inclined woman who enjoyed snapping photos and playing the piano with her children as they were growing up. Her artistic nature was passed on through each of her children and grandchildren.

She was initially married on August 23, 1972, in a civil union ceremony. Sealed for time and eternity at the Washington D.C. Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, August 5, 1981, assembling with all her children.

Don and Chris attended Northern University with the same major (Biological Sciences) at the same time (1969-71), but never met. They first met at Roosevelt University in Chicago in 1971, in the embryology class. During her later years, Chris attended (with her husband) numerous natural health seminars, graduating in 2004 with a Certified Natural Health Professions designation (CNHP). Chris also attended nursing classes at HACC.

When her husband retired, both had hoped that they would spend their retirement together helping people improve and maintain their health through proper diet and a variety of natural corrective modalities.

In addition to her adoring husband, Donald Kline, she is survived by three sons, Nathaniel Darwin Kennedy Kline, Abraham Newton Kennedy Kline, and SethAndrew Brigham Kennedy Kline; two daughters, Bethany-Amber Kline and TorahAnn Shiloh (Kline) Warner; and 14 grandchildren, Matthew Kline, Darren Kline, Taylor Staub, Abigail Youse, Gregory Kline, Damien DeShong, Nicodemus Brady, Brianna Kline, Emily Kline, Aristotle-Andrew Kline, Hannah Kline, Lillian Kline, Corbin Warner, and Liam Staub. Mrs. Kline was also eagerly awaiting the birth of a new grandson to be born of daughter, Torah-Ann, due in May.

All who knew Christine will remember her most for her abilities to love without passing judgment, to earnestly listen, and encourage others with undoubting confidence. In remembrance of hundreds of hours spent at the dining room table over countless cups of steaming hot tea and clever conversation (where with us), she shared her heart, her home, and her life. She will be loved forever, missed always and never forgotten.

After services at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, New Oxford, burial will follow at the Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York.
