Jack E. Fosson, age 84, of Bruin, Ky., formerly of Ashland, Ky., died Dec. 19, 2009, in Community Hospice Care Center.

He was born June 2, 1925, in Ashland, a son of the late W.B. and Mima Weidenheller Fosson.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, W.R. Fosson.

He was a partner in W.B. Fosson and Sons Construction General Contractors. He was a long time member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and a World War II Army veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Pat Watson Fosson; a son, Randy Fosson and wife, Carol of Lexington, Ky.; daughters, Patty Jacque Fosson Abrams and husband, Bob of Paintsville, Ky., and Julia C. Fosson of Avon, Conn.; sisters, Dorothy Leedy of Thomasville, Ga., and Jo Ann Williams of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; grandchildren, Stephanie Ruth and husband, Jeff of Lexington, Robbie Abrams of Paintsville and Laurie Huddle and husband, Tommy of South Point, Ohio; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Ruth and Kendall Ruth of Lexington and Tre Huddle of South Point.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009 at Rose Hill Mausoleum Chapel by the Rev. Susan Elkow of Bagby Memorial United Methodist Church in Grayson, Ky. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Dec. 22, 2009, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland.
