Charles William "Bill" Conkright, 82, of Frankfort, died Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 17, 1927 in Lebanon to the late Walter and Mary Hayes Conkright. On Aug. 7, 1949, he married Shirley Jean Feaster in Lafayette, and she preceded him in death on Jan. 21, 2008.
Surviving are two sons, Gary William Conkright (wife: Marilyn) of Naperville, Il. and Jeffrey Lynn Conkright of Costa Rica; two brothers, Dick Conkright of Lafayette and John Conkright of Belleville, Il.; three sisters, Jane Thompson of Lafayette and Sendy Etter and Carol Higgs, both of Fishers and 3 grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Diane Conkright; 2 brothers, Eugene and Roy Conkright and 1 sister, Doris Harris.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
