Funeral services for Leah Jean Garrett, 74 former Union City resident, were held on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, at the Assembly of God Church in Tuttle.

Leah Jean Garrett was born on March 10, 1935 in Tuttle to Ernest and Lillie "Dude" (Givens) Roberts. She died on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010 at the Tuttle Care Center.

She was a member of the Tuttle Assembly of God Church, President of Women's Ministries and was Sunday School Secretary. She married Wesley "Bucky" Garrett on March 28, 1953 in Minco and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wesley, her parents, her brother Ed Roberts and brother-in-law John Warden. She is survived by her sons Wesley Garrett and Mike and Pauline Garrett, all of Union City, daughter Lavona and Gary Ninman of Purcell, brothers Wilmer and Jackie Roberts of Tuttle and Raymond and Jenny Roberts of Tahlequah, sisters Ernestine Warden of Tuttle, Annabelle and Glen Box of Newport, Mich., Linda Pearl and Shorty Conner of Tuttle, and Loretta and Darrel Dayton of Lawton, grandchildren Dallas Garrett, Chad Garrett and wife Lindsey, Leah Marie and husband Jeremy Riley, Amanda Johnson and husband Jacob, Otto Garrett and wife Rondalyn, Landon Ninman and wife Jessica, great grandchildren J.D. Riley, Keely Riley, Garrett Johnson, Berkley Johnson, Rylee Ninman, Ryker Ninman, Daysha Garrett, Quinton Garrett and Tee'ona Garrett and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Rev. Larry Harris of the Tuttle Assembly of God officiated and interment was in the Tuttle Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco. Published in The Chickasha Express Star from 2/17/2010 - 2/19/2010.
