SCHWEITZER, Versie (nee Schaefer) Passed away peacefully at Freeport Health Centre on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Elmer Schweitzer, who passed away in November 1986. Dear mother of Janice and her husband Paul Hill. Loving grandmother of Christopher (Deirdre), Jeremy (Laura), Matthew (Katie), Nancy (Bill Rowell), Justin and Emily. Dear great-grandma to Rachel and Savannah. Sister-in-law of Rita Bott. Predeceased by her parents, Herman and Ella Schaefer, a son Wayne in infancy and baby brother Floyd. Versie has lived all her life at RR3 Waterloo and was a lifelong and faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Erbsville. Family and friends will be received at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. West, Kitchener on Friday, February 26, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Erbsville at 11 o'clock on Saturday, February 27, 2010 with Rev. Olaf Poulsen officiating. A reception will be held at the church immediately after the service, with interment to follow at St. Matthew's Lutheran Cemetery, Conestogo. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Paul's Lutheran Church would be gratefully appreciated.
