The birth date year is estimated at this time; the 1910 census gives his age as being 44, which would be a birth year of about 1866. However, the same report shows Edward as being the same age as his wife Lillis, and she was born in 1863. This birth date needs clarification, so use with caution.

Married to Lillis Teeter on November 20, 1889 in Ottumwa, Wappello County, Iowa (a county directly adjacent and west of Jefferson County, where Lillis' family was from).

Ed and Lillis Henry are buried at Tulocay Cemetery in Napa, California. They are in the Parsons family plot and buried adjacent to that of Lillis' mother Eliza Jane Smith Teeter Parsons and her second husband Baldon Parsons. The plot is evidently surrounded by cement stonework, with the surname Parsons in the front view.

ED HENRY DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Former Fairfield Lumber Merchant Lived in San Francisco

News was received here today telling of the death of Ed HENRY, former Fairfield lumber merchant in the early '90's. Mr. HENRY died in San Francisco, March 18, and funeral services were held in Napa, Calif., on Saturday, Mar. 20. Mr. HENRY's wife was the former Lillie M. TEETER of this city.

About four weeks ago, Mr. HENRY entered a San Francisco hospital and submitted to an operaion. He rallied nicely and was doing well appearently up until a few days ago when a stroke of paralysis came which rendered him unconscious and termineated in his death.

Mr. Henry came to Napa from Nevada county in 1897 and purchased the liquor business of the late George Thompson, occupying the old Migliavacca building for some time. Later he moved his growing buisiness to his own building at the corner of Fifth and Brown streets. He engaged in the liquor business until the prohibition era started. Then in 1918 he purchased the soda water business of the late Samuel Silva and conducted it until 1921 when he went to San Francisco.

He was engaged successfully in this business up to the time of his last illness.

He was an expert billardist (sic.sp?) and his play at billards and pool was watched with keen interest by devotees of that popular sport in Napa at that time.

Mr. HENRY was a charter member of Napa Aerie, F.O.E. A man of genial temperment and many sterling traits of character, he was highly esteemed.

After leaving Nap to make his home in San Francisco Mr. HENRY emgaged in the apartment house business in San Franciso and was most successful.

He is survived by his grief-stricken widow, Lillie, who has the deep sympathy of her many friends here, and two sons, Corwin and Arden, both of whom are at present in the real estate business in San Francisco. There are also two sisters, Cecilla M. GIFFORD and Kate HENRY of Alam, California, a grandson Raymond HENRY, and a niece, Mary HENRY.
