Son of Abraham Reiff and Barbara Meyer. Husband of Barbara Groff∼Abraham Reiff, b. c1730; wp. Aug 19, 1788. He was a pastor at Groffdale since at least 1778. His widow continued to live in Earl Twp into the 1790 census. He is probably bur. in the Reiff section in Row 12, quite possibly the large illegible sandstone at 12-17-23_OS. (row 12, stone 17, position 23 (from right), in the "old section"). When he was buried in 1788, he was buried at the front of the cemetery. His wife Barbara is likely bur. nearby, but in an unmarked grave. His father Abraham Reiff also lived in Lancaster County for a time 1746 to about 1760, and then moved to Coventry Twp., Chester Co., where he died in 1763.

This large sandstone is in "Reiff" section of the cemetery and is believed to be the grave marker for the early Groffdale minister Abraham Reiff (c1730-1788).
