Born in Waterbury, CT, USA on Nov. 18, 1916, she was a daughter of John and Stephanie Cedorchuk.
Sophia was a graduate of the Petersham High School Class of 1935 and was married to Frank H. Moore Jr. She was a resident of Orange for 70 years.
Employed by the L. S. Starrett Company in Athol for 25 years, Sophia retired in 1978 from the polishing department.
Devoted to her family and friends, Sophia was an avid gardener as well.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Jane Moore of Anna Maria, Fla., and Linda J. Moore of Orange; six grandsons, David Rimsa and his wife, Gay, Daniel Rimsa and his companion, Debbie Sterling, and Carl Rimsa, all of Florida, Nathan Moore and his wife, Sarah, of Northampton, Eric Gemborys and his wife, Kara, of Barre, and Matthew Gemborys and his wife, Michele, currently stationed in Baltimore with the Coast Guard; five great-grandchildren, Jacob, Lydia, and Aaron Moore, and Andrew and Abby Gemborys; several nephews and nieces; and close friends including, Gail Jefferson of Gardner, Margo Petracone of Barre, Craig Whitney of Richmond, N.H., Sandy Jones, Paul and Irene Robichaud, and Harry and Harriet Sanderson, all of Orange.
Sophia was predeceased by a son, Frank H. Moore III in 1993 and brothers, Stephen and Peter Cedorchuk.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 1 p.m. at Witty's Funeral Home, 158 South Main St., Orange, with Rev. Mark Bariloni of the Athol-Orange Baptist Church officiating.
Interment will follow in South Cemetery, Orange.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the donor's choice.
