Charles "Tom" Dugan, 70, of Olney, died at 10:05 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2006, at his residence.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Dr. Berton Heleine officiating. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Dugan was born on January 22, 1936, in Wayne County the son of Raymond and Lola (Miller) Dugan.

He married Shirley Taylor on August 27, 1960.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator. -He was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran, having served from 1953-1956.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Dugan, of Olney; mother-in-law, Elsie Taylor, of Olney; son, Thomas Dugan, of Olney; brother, Paul Dugan, of Olney; two sisters, Karen Clow and her husband, Joe, of Olney and Mary Ellen Smith, of Olney; and several nieces and
nephews.

Mr. Dugan was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Jane Andrews, Virginia Rodgers, Norma Anderson and Pauline Watson.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southeastern Illinois.
