Charlene A. Deischer, 73, of Olney, died at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, November 22, 2001, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Haven Hill Cemetery with Pastor Ted Kemp officiating.

Mrs. Deischer was born on May 8, 1928, in Sumner, the daughter of Charles Oliver and Mayme E. (Stine) Fiscus.

She married Esto Deischer. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1998.

She had worked at Florsheim Shoe Company. She was a member of Church of Christ and Eagles Lodge in Olney.

Mrs. Deischer is survived by a daughter, Janice K. Hayes, of Dawson; two sisters, Eleanor Millman, of Olney, and Trella Clow and her husband, Richard, of Olney; two half-sisters, Gladys Crosby, of Olney, and Marie Parrott, of Sumner; a granddaughter, Jennifer (Borah) Pecoraro and her husband, Jack, of Springfield; a grandson, James D. Borah, of Tampa, Fla.; and one great-grandson, Giacomo Pecoraro.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 16 brothers and sisters and one grandson.
