Willis “Pete” Musser, 91, of Lone Tree passed away July 27, 1998 at Lantern Park Care Center, Coralville after a short illness.
Services will be held July 31, 1998 at 11:00 A.M. at the United Presbyterian Church in Lone Tree. Visitation will be Thursday, July 30 from 5:00-8:00 P.M., at the Sorden Funeral Home in Lone Tree. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery. There is a general memorial set up.
He was born February 20, 1907 at River Jct, Iowa to John D. and Mary Fountain Musser. He married Alice Burr September 2, 1931 in Lone Tree. He was a bank director of the Lone Tree Savings Bank and a member of the Johnson County School Board and the Presbyterian Church. Mr. Musser owned a Service Station in Walford for 19 years, a tax accountant, and farmed in Johnson County for many years. He is survived by one son Jerry Musser of Iowa City and one daughter Connie Edmonds of Solon and 7 grandchildren. One brother Don of Cedar Rapids and one sister, Jean Stock of Lone Tree.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, five brothers and 3 sisters. Pall bearers will be his grandchildren.
