In Wisconsin

TERRIL - Mrs. Lulu Davis, 86, longtime Terril resident, died Sunday morning at St. Claire Hospital in Baraboo, Wis. She suffered a heart attack while on a vacation trip to Wisconsin Dells with her daughter, Mrs. Eva Simpson and friends.

Family services were held Wednesday at the Davis home and the public services were held at 2 p.m. in the Terril Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert A Williams officiating and burial was held at the Fairview Cemetery at Terril. Reese Funeral Home at Estherville was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Davis was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Martin, born April 8, 1879 at Flannigan, ILL. She received her education there, then as a young woman moved to Lake City, Iowa with her parents.

She married Edman Davis on February 19, 1901 at Lake City. After farming in the Lanesboro and Lake City areas for 18 years, they moved to a farm near Terril where Mr. Davis died in 1954.

Mrs. Davis was a member of the Farm Echo Club and the Terril Methodist Church, where she was active in woman's organizations.

She is survived by one daughter; three sons, Walter of Terril, Everett of Spirit Lake, Cecil of Midwest City, Okla.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, James of Rockwell City. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, five brothers and four sisters.
