HAFFT, Dorothea Bramson, of Sun City Center, quietly slipped away to be with her Lord in the early morning hours February 14, 2009, at Benton House in Sun City Center, Fla. Born in the rural farming community of Ute, Iowa, in December 3, 1919, to Charles and Mabel Bramson. She was affectionately known as Dee to her family and friends. Dee was the loving widow of Ellsworth Hafft. She was the youngest and the last survivor of her siblings, Howard Bramson and Lucille Sledge. After working and residing in Washington D.C. during the war years, Dee relocated, married Ells, and became a resident of California for 35 years. Her career took her to the California State Library in Sacramento. Dee and Ells retired to Florida in 1981.

A friendly and vivacious redhead, Dee lived life with a passion for her family and friends, knitting, cats and "The Girls". She is survived by cousins, nieces and nephews and friends, who will all rejoice in having had time to share with her. The family will receive friends 9 a.m.-10 a.m., and services will follow at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2009, Lewers Funeral Home in Ruskin. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery.
