Cloie Eula Shively Cooper Wright, 80, of Ferrum, went home to be with the Lord Friday, February 19, 2010. Born December 27, 1929 to the late Georgie McKinley and Ethel Boyd Shively, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Noel Cooper, second husband, Raymond Wright, and brother, Uriah Shively. Surviving are her sons, Autrey (Betty) Cooper and Cecil Cooper; daughter, Diane Fisher; five grandchildren, Michael Cooper, Dawn (Mark) Lambert, Lori Fisher, Joshua Cooper and Jennifer (J.P.) Arrington; four great-grandchildren, Cameron Lambert, Allison Lambert, Morgan Lambert and Callie Arrington; special friends, Sophia Durham, Sylvia and Bill Young; and brother, Hillard Shively. She was a strong, courageous lady who triumphed over many difficult challenges in her life. She loved her family very much and anyone entering her home was always made to feel welcome. We will truly miss seeing her beautiful face and hearing her sweet voice. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Monday February 22, 2010, with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Clearview Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday February 21, 2010, with her family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Flora Funeral & Cremation Service, Rocky Mount.
