BROYLES, HUGH LEONARD age 34 yrs. was killed in a place crash near Lopaz, Bolivia 21 Nov 1960. Burial with full military honors in the Evergreen Cemetery in Luray. Captain Broyles was one of 3 Americans killed in the crash of a twin engine plane of the U. S. Military Mission after it caught fire in mid air & crashed. He was chief of the geodetic survey of Rangoon. He was born 04 Dec 1925 s/o Mrs. Mary Somers Broyles & the late Vernon Broyles. He enlisted in the U. S. Army on 24 Mar 1944 at the age of 19. Brothers, Clifford Broyles & John Broyles both at home.
