BROYLES, HUGH LEONARD age 34 yrs. was killed in a place crash near Lopaz, Bolivia 21 Nov 1960. Burial with full military honors in the Evergreen Cemetery in Luray. Captain Broyles was one of 3 Americans killed in the crash of a twin engine plane of the U. S. Military Mission after it caught fire in mid air & crashed. He was chief of the geodetic survey of Rangoon. He was born 04 Dec 1925 s/o Mrs. Mary Somers Broyles & the late Vernon Broyles. He enlisted in the U. S. Army on 24 Mar 1944 at the age of 19. Brothers, Clifford Broyles & John Broyles both at home. Sisters, Mrs. John (Helen) Holden of Silver Spring, Md., Mrs. Daniel (Marie) Aleshire of Luray, Mrs. Grant (Joyce) Mathews of Sacramento, Ca., Mrs. John (Betty) Sorrentino of Nulley, NJ. & Mrs. James (Lois) Huff of Saratoga, CA.
