EMORY - Graveside services for Mona Lee Ramsey, 89, Emory, are scheduled for 10 a.m. today at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery, Rains County, with the Rev. Steve Couch officiating. Arrangements under direction of Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home, Emory.
Mrs. Ramsey died July 10, 2008, at her residence.
She was born March 24, 1919, in Ginger near Emory to the late E.T. and Odessa Liner Bishop. She was a homemaker and co-owner/operator of Ramsey's Jeans in Emory for several years. She was a Baptist and a member of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Farris Ramsey in February 2007.
Survivors include sons, Hershell L. Ramsey, Yantis, Lyndon F. Ramsey, James F. Ramsey and Norman D. Ramsey, all of Emory; sister, Lois Varnon, Dallas; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
