ELLIS (Beam), Christy Joy 50, of Miamisburg, OH joined her heavenly father at her home surrounded by much love on Friday, February 19th, 2010 after a 2 year battle with brain cancer. She was born August 3rd, 1959. Christy was a devoted wife to her husband and soul mate of 19 years, Doug. She gave her love fully and unconditionally whether she was being a wife, mother, nana, daughter, sister, aunt or a friend. She was never one to judge others and saw the good in everyone she met. Her smile would light up a room and she gave it freely even in her final days. Christy was a big part of the Emmaus community and attended Apex Community Church. She loved the outdoors, her favorite place being the Smokey Mountains. Christy always saw the beauty in all the things God had made that surrounded her. She loved to dance and sing to glorify God. Always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need she was forever putting others ahead of herself without expecting anything in return. Those who knew Christy will forever be changed by the loving and caring person that she was. Christy will be greatly missed yet we are able to celebrate knowing she is beginning her eternal life in heaven. We were given so many gifts from God during Christy's journey through people, prayers, selfless giving and unexpected opportunities. They will last us a lifetime and we thank him for that.

Christy is survived by her husband, Doug Ellis, 2 daughters Rhiannon (John) Elkins, and Paige (Seneca) Beatty and son Doug (Angel) Ellis, grandsons Kyle and Tyler and granddaughter Trinity. She also is survived by her mother and father, Carol and Charles "Bud" Beam and sisters, Cheryl Howard, Cathy Drumm, Cindi Hupke, Candy Wilz and Casey Sherman. She had a host of nieces, nephews and a multitude of other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

A viewing will be held at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home. We will be having a celebration of Christy's life at Apex Community Church, 5200 Far Hills Ave. Kettering, please come as we celebrate through music, pictures and spoken memories. In memory of Christy, contributions can be made to The Tug McGraw Foundation at www.tugmcgraw.org.
