Jo Thompson Lowry, age 92, of Warren, Arkansas died Wednesday, May 17, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home, Warren. She was born April 15, 1914 at Plummerville [sic Plumerville], Arkansas a daughter of the late Albert Sidney Thompson and Ada Catherine Stobaugh Thompson. She received her education in the Ola Public school system and was a graduate of Clarksdale High School, Clarksdale, Miss. She was a member and a retired church secretary of First United Methodist Church of Warren. She married John William Lowry on March 8, 1940 at Little Rock, Arkansas and he died January 3, 1994.

Surviving is a son John C. Lowry, Marion, Ark; a daughter Jo Ellen Callaway, Warren, Ark; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A brother Albert Thompson also preceded her in death.

Memorial services were 2:00pm Saturday, May 20, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Siegfried Johnson officiating. Mary Lou Martin was organist, Joye Splawn was pianist and soloist was Alice Hill. Burial Oakland Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were Steve Simmons, Jim Threlkeld, James Clyde Callaway, Carlton Davis, Tom Colvin, Doug Thornton and John Cuthbertson.

Memorials preferred to the First United Methodist Church or the Donald W. Reynolds YMCA.
