I am unsure of her cause of death, and would appreciate that or any other information about her. I am particularly interesting in info. regarding her mother, Sarah Abbott Hollister Jerrolds (or some similar last name), WHO MAY ALSO BE BURIED IN MAPLE GROVE CEMETERY (and Jesse Jerrolds, Sarah's second husband, may also be buried there).
Ruth's parents were likely Gershom Hollister & Sarah Abbott; regardless, mother's name was Sarah. Gershom died in 1792, in Cornwall, CT, falling from a barn (subject of famous haunting legend). Sarah then re-married Jesse (Jessie?) Jerrold[s]/Gerald/Gerrard (or something similar), moved to Georgetown, NY, around 1816. Jesse died, date unknown (c.1820-30), falling from a horse.
In about 1822, Ruth married Ebenezer Hill (1771-1835) as his 4th wife. They had one child, a son, Albert Seymour Hill (1824-49). According to old family letters, Ruth moved out from Ebenezer's house & in with her mother. In 1840, after Ebenzer and presumably Ruth's mother had died, she moved in with cousins, the Wheelers.
Among Ruth's siblings were Philemon/Philarmon Hollister (1790-1869), findagrave #9691514, who married Lura Bradley (findagrave #48397448), and whose children included Sarah J. Hollister [Murgittroyd] (findagrave #43109576), who married Delos[s] Murgittroyd.
