Shares stone with wife Emma, though Emma has a separate, smaller stone as well.
I first located him as a 2 year old in the 1850 census, with parents Michael and Sarah, natives of Pennsylvania, where the surname is spelled Basehaar. I followed him through 1860, still with his parents in PA, then to 1870, where he is still in PA, but having married Emma (in 1868), and started his own family, Calvin, 1, and Alice 4 months (born in Feb). There his surname is written Boeshore. His 1880 record hasn't been located yet, but in 1885, they are in Charleston Twp, Washington Co., KS, with Calvin, Alice, and the following other children: Lillie, Minnie, George, Harvy, and a 1 month old son as yet unnamed, under the spelling Bashore.
By 1900, they are in Bates County, in Pleasant Gap Twp., the surname is spelled Beshore, and he and Emma have the following children living in the household:
Minnie, b. Feb 1878 ; George, b. Apr 1881
Harvey, b. Nov 1882 ; Royal, b. Nov 1887
William, b. Dec 1899 ; Elmer, b. March 1892
Allie, b. March 1895
They list 16 children born, 11 surviving.
In 1910, they're in the same place, but another child has passed away, as only 10 are listed as surviving. Allie and Elmer are still in the home. By 1920, they're still in Pleasant Gap Twp, and the children are no longer in the household. His name is mis-transcribed as Issac Bishore in that census. He passes away at the age of 73.
