Maxine had lived most of her life in the Northeast District of Kansas City, Missouri where she attended and was graduated from the Northeast High School in 1942. She married Richard N. Morrison on December 3, 1942 at Sheppard Army Air Field, Texas where Richard was serving with the U.S. Army Air Corps. When Richard deployed to England, Maxine returned home where she was employed by the U.S. Army Quartermaster Depot-KC. Later she worked for the Law Firm of Troupe, Kehoe, Whitaker and Kent. She was a lifelong, active member of the Northeast Presbyterian Church.
