Stauffer Clemens, "was born January 1st, 1819. He resided on his father's old homestead for many years. He was married to Louisa Clemons who was born January 4th, 1821, and died October 30th, 1880. After the decease of his wife he made his home with his daughter who resided in Preston where he died August 29th, 1891. To them were born four children"

SUDDEN DEATH AT PRESTON

On Saturday evening last, Mr. Stauffer Clemens of Preston, died very suddenly, whilst in the act of taking his supper. We learn that a piece of meat lodged in his throat, causing strangulation. Deceased was a brother of Mr. Oliver Clemens of Galt and was in the 73rd year of his age. The funeral took place, on Monday afternoon.
