Evelyn "Eva" O'Day, 85, of Sterling, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 1995, in Sterling.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Tennant Funeral Home. Funeral is 11 a.m. Friday at Tennant Funeral Home with the Rev, Robert Howard officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Denver,
Mrs. O'Day was born March 25, 1910, to Jacob and Katherine (Kautz) Stieben in Friedenfeld, Russia.
She came to Sterling in 1912 with her parents. She grew up and attended school in Sterling.
She married Edward Miller. Mr. Miller died July 27, 1934, and she later married Samuel O'Day Sept. 4, 1955, in Colorado Springs. They settled in Denver.
Mr. O'Day died June 2, 1972. Mrs. O'Day moved to Sterling in 1985. She was living at Devon shire Acres at the time of her death.
Mrs. O'Day is survived by a daughter, Evelyn Michel and hus band Edwin of Sterling; four sisters, Marie Peltz and Katherine Reinick, both of Denver, Mary Hoiwegner of Fort Collins and Rose Keller of Atwood; two grand sons, Tom Michel and wife Sally, and Dennis Michel and wife Nelda, all of Sterling; and four great-grandchildren.
Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by a brother, Henry, and two sisters, Mollie Miller and Emilia Kautz.
