--AGED RESIDENT OF CUMBERLAND LAID TO REST WEDNESDAY
"Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Anna Sothman, who passed away at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Pelzer, Sunday evening at 6:55, October 15.
The services were held from the Roland Peacock & Baxter funeral parlor in Atlantic with Rev. P. S. Pfallzgraff, pastor of the Noble Center church and Cal Lindeman of Lyman officiating.
Casket bearers were her grandchildren: Lawrence Sothman, Russell Sothman, Kermit Sothman, Orlin Sothman, Cecil Pelzer, and Leon Pelzer.
Interment was made in the Weirich Cemetery in Noble Township.
Mrs. Sothman, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans. F. Martens, was born in Holstein, Germany, December 23rd. 1860. She grew to womanhood there and came to America in 1882. She was united in marriage to Henry Sothman, February 29, 1884 in Noble Township, where they made their home until 1923, when they moved to Cumberland to make their home. Mr. Sothman passed away February 22, 1929. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church."
