Thursday April 13, 1911 a prominent Berne Twp. farmer deceased at his home Wednesday night after a year's illness,
Funeral Friday.
Charles Spangler a prominent farmer of Berne Township who had been in failing health for over a year, caused
by cancer and dropsy, died at his home east of Lancaster, Wednesday evening at 9:40 pm.
He was 79 years of age and is survived by the following children; Mrs Orpha Evans, Mrs Julia Feetley (Salome Feckley) , Mrs. May Bowers, Mrs Ida Uhl,
George Spangler and Harvey Spangler of Cleveland.
His wife and one son Isaac Spangler have preceded him to the spirit world. The funeral will be conducted from his late home.
Friday afternoon at 1:30 and interment will be in Forest Rose Cemetery.
Sarah Ellen Wolford was not his child, she was child of his wife Elizbeth Betsy Wolford and an unknown person.
