Wilmer C. Harmon, 57, of Claremont, passed away Friday morning at the John Cochran Veterans Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

He was born Dec. 29, 1917, a son of Lee H. Harmon and Stella A. Shockey Harmon.

On Oct. 26, 1967, he married Edith M. Stout in Olney.
She survives.
Also surviving are the following step-daughers, Barbara Kapper of Olney, Bonnie Kremer of Evansville, Wisc.; and Betty Likens of Springfield, Mo.; the following sisters; Lena Foreman, Ruth Eyer, and Loretta Schnell, all of Olney, Edna Grimes of Flora; the following brothers; Roy Harmon of Olney and Kenneth Harmon of Washburn, Iowa; four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Phronsia Jean Harmon, and a brother, Robert Harmon.

Interment will be in Maple Dale Cemetery.

He was a member of the Eureka Church of Christ near Claremont, Richland Post No. 30 of the American Legion, and Olney Post No. 4226 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. he was a veteran of U. S. Navy service in World War II.
