Lillie Ruth Stapp Wright, age 80, of Columbus, MS, passed away August 22, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 24, 2013, at 10:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Jackie Wilson officiating and Brother James Gardner assisting. The interment will immediately follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, August 23, 2013, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home. Mrs. Wright was born May 5, 1933, in Fernbank, AL, to the late Nathan and Myrtle Reynolds Stapp. She loved the Lord and was of the Pentecostal faith. Mrs. Wright was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and enjoyed fishing and cross stitching. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward B. Wright, daughter, Evelyn Farley, granddaughter, Sandy Farley Word, three sisters, and one brother. Survivors include her sons, Edward "Bubba" Wright and his wife Pam of Ridgeland, MS, Wallace Wright and his wife Amy of Cleveland, TN, and Robert Wright and his wife Lynn of Meridian, MS, daughters, Fay Rushing and her husband Joe Mathis of West Point, MS, Wanda Bradley and her husband David of Columbus, MS, and Hazel Seichrist and her husband Rickie of Caledonia, MS, brother, Martin Stapp of Columbus, MS, sister, Emma Gray of Columbus, MS, 16 grandchildren, 27, great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be James Chism, Tommy Jacobs, Scott Whitehead, Larry Duncan, and Larry Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren, staff of Aurora Health and Rehab, and third floor nurses and hospice staff of Baptist Memorial Hospital.
