MIDDLEBURG -

Charles F. Stoneroad, 69, of 63 E. Market St., passed away on Tuesday morning, Nov. 10, 2009, at his home.
He was born Sept. 28, 1940, in Snyder County, a son of the late Franklin Benjamin and Catherine O. (Casner) Stoneroad.

He attended Red Bank School and West Snyder High School.
Earlier in life, he had been employed by Wilt Ford, Middleburg, and later by Long's Tree Service and Eastern Tree Service.

He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Charles enjoyed hunting and riding motorcycle.

He is survived by one sister, Catherine Kochenderfer, of St. Joseph, Mo.; one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth E. and Ellen Stoneroad, of Middleburg; and his companion of 33 years, Shirley A. Jones, and her daughter, Brenda Dombrowski, and husband Louis, of Middleburg, and their daughters, Kaitlyn and Elizabeth.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Franklin I. Stoneroad.

Visitors will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the Hummel Funeral Home, Middleburg, followed by the funeral at 2 with his cousin, lay minister Sandra Stefanovige, officiating.

Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery, Middleburg.
