A cryptside funeral service will be held in the West Side District Cemetery on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. for longtime Maricopa resident, Bill O'Dell, 63. Bill was born in Alabama on December 22, 1946 and passed away in Bakersfield on February 11, 2010. He worked in the oilfields for many years. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and the outdoors. His survivors include his wife, Rose O'Dell of Maricopa; his daughter and her husband, Michelle and Tony Waite of Vacaville; his daughter, Melissa Johnson of Taft and Traver Swartsfager; his granddaughter, Ashley Maddox of Vacaville; his two grandsons, Jacob Johnson of Taft and Darren Maddox of Vacaville; his sisters, Mary Barker and Shirley Mobley both of Taft; his brother, Walt O'Dell of Texas; his nieces and nephews, Brian O'Dell, Jason Mobley, Charlotte Sexton, Sherry Erlewine, Julie Knowles, Krystal Carter, Marsha Houchin and Denise Mobley; and by many other family members and friends. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
